About

The Polson High School facility, built in 1973, is located on the south-west side of the city overlooking Flathead Lake.

Grades 9-12 are served by a core curriculum, which includes programs in English, mathematics, science, and social studies. Advanced courses in these areas are also offered. Dual Enrollment courses are offered in Mathematics and Social Studies. A broad range of vocational and fine arts electives are available to students. These programs include instrumental and vocal music, art, computer science, business, building trades, technology education, and a new Healthcare Internship program.

Over the past several years, a commitment has been made to ensure that adequate technology is available to the students at PHS. Modern computer labs can be found in the areas of science, math, business, computer science, technology education, and alternative learning. In addition, a state of the art multi-media center is available to students in the library. All of these labs are networked and have Internet access.

The high school counseling department is staffed by two highly qualified school counselors and a records specialist. Individual, career, and post-secondary education counseling are available to all students. Scholarship information and other work related opportunities are made available by the staff in this department.

To complement the regular education programs, Polson High School also offers Title 1, Gifted Education, and Special Education services. These programs are designed to help students who have unique learning abilities. Both are well staffed with highly qualified instructors and paraprofessionals.
